How to Use the Pineapple Wedger for Easy Fresh Pineapple
Fresh pineapple is delicious. Cutting around the tough skin and core is the part that can make it feel like more work than it should.
The Pineapple Wedger helps split the pineapple and remove the core so you have a much easier starting point for snacks, fruit trays, grilling, salsa, and simple summer dinners.
Because the right tool for the job really does make mealtime easier. 💜
How to use the Pineapple Wedger
Cut off the top and bottom.
Cut it crosswise through the middle. Working with a shorter piece makes the Pineapple Wedger much easier to press through.
Place one pineapple half on a sturdy cutting board with a flat cut side down.
Place the Pineapple Wedger over the center of the pineapple.
Press evenly and wiggle the wedger side to side as needed. Repeat with the second half.
Remove the tough center, then slice, cube, or cut the pineapple however you want.
Easy ways to use fresh pineapple
- Fresh fruit trays
- Smoothies
- Grilled pineapple
- Chicken or pork meals
- Pineapple salsa
- Tropical salads
- BBQ sides
- Teriyaki-style dinners
- Summer snack plates
My favorite shortcut
Cut the pineapple when you bring it home. Once it is prepped and ready in the refrigerator, it is much more likely to become a snack, side, or dinner add-in instead of sitting on the counter.
