This is about a 45-minute dinner, not a 20-minute one—but most of the sauce-making is hands-off, which can matter just as much on a busy night.

Easy chicken Alfredo with creamy sauce and cooked chicken

Ingredients

  • Cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • Pasta such as fettuccine, penne, rotini, or spaghetti
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: broccoli, peas, spinach, mushrooms, bacon, or sun-dried tomatoes

Blender Alfredo Sauce

  • 2 cups 2% or whole milk
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2–4 oz fresh Parmesan cheese, grated with the Cup Zester

Directions

  1. Add milk and salt to the Deluxe Cooking Blender. Select SAUCE and start.
  2. When the blender prompts ADD, add butter and flour.
  3. Cook pasta according to package directions while the sauce runs.
  4. Chop or shred the cooked chicken. The Salad Choppers make this quick, then warm the chicken.
  5. When the blender finishes, grate fresh Parmesan with the Cup Zester, add it to the sauce, and pulse until blended.
  6. Reserve about 1 cup pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  7. Pour sauce into a large bowl, stir in chicken and any vegetables, then add pasta until the ratio feels right.
  8. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed and finish with extra freshly grated Parmesan, salt, or pepper.
